Dear Customer,

Following on from the continued spread of COVID-19 cases being reported in South Africa, and the President’s announcement on 23 March 2020, Mitsol has taken further steps to ensure that our facilities and staff maintain operational sustainability. The Mitsol offices will be closed from COB Thursday 26th March until the 19th April, access to the Data centre will be granted for essential maintenance only.

Mitsol’s approach to ensuring that our facilities remain fully operational during this time includes:

  • All office employees being fully operational and working from home.
  • All departments being contactable via telephone during normal business hours.
  • Maintaining the afterhours support desk service.
  • Maintaining our standby technical team who will be available for callouts during business hours.

With regards to new installations, we are still awaiting guidance on this. The President has deemed Telecommunication as an essential service and noted that there may be some relaxation around infrastructure builds, but we must ensure that priority on the health, safety and welfare of our clients, suppliers and employees is maintained above all else.

“Fibre Optic infrastructure (relaxation of the laws that slows down the deployment of infrastructure)”

“Towers and antennae (relaxation of laws that slow down deployment of infrastructure)”

Our priority is to ensure that our staff continue to run our facilities for your benefit and remain healthy to do so.
