Year-end Wrap Up

Every year just before Christmas the municipalities send out a closure notice informing all service providers of the dates that they are expected to wrap up and halt any further civil work.

This year that date is the 13th November and all contractors will only be permitted to clean up, perform general housekeeping and must have all tar, concrete paving and road reinstatements completed by the 15th December.

After the 15th of December no further work may be performed, we are however permitted to continue with all fibre work and home installations and we will be doing this up until the 20th December, so please get your orders in ASAP.

My Fibre has been installed, now what?

f you have already received your home installation, then you are ahead of the game and nearly done. It’s now just up to us to complete the backbone fibre and bring this up. Once the network is live we will provision your home device and you will receive an automated email advising you that your home fibre is now live. Your ISP will also be notified and they will then kick into gear to get your Internet up and running.

Competition is great – but beware of misinformation!

In a super-competitive environment such as the telecommunication industry, ISPs are always seeking new and creative ways to entice customers. Whilst this is usually done in a fair and ethical way, sometimes there’s a “bad apple” that tries to entice customers across by slating the competition.

We believe customer acquisition should be done on merit, and a prospective customer should be sold on why they should be using ISP-X, and not why they shouldn’t be using ISP-Y.

We’ve noticed that some ISPs, that are not on the Mitsol Fibre network, have been spreading damning and false information about their competitor ISPs, in an attempt to coax customers across.

We strongly condemn this behaviour, and we invite prospective customers to contact us with any concerns you may have so that we can help set the record straight, allowing you to make a more informed decision.

Remember, when selecting an ISP to service your needs, your criteria should be focussed on pricing, bundles and added value services, the rest of the ISP vetting has already been done by Mitsol to ensure that the service delivery from start to finish is world class.
